1975 Renault 4TL- Rally for The Lane

Rally for The Lane

Drive this car in the Second Annual Rally for The Lane!

1975 Renault 4TL

Ever dream of driving that special vintage car that you’ve seen at a national car show? Lane Motor Museum can make your dream come true on September 24 or October 1 at our Second Annual Rally for The Lane.

Rally for the Lane is a one-day vintage car fan extravaganza. The museum has selected 41 cars from its collection that participants will be able purchase the right to drive on the rally. Registration will end when approximately 20 have been registered for that day's Rally event.

This will be a gimmick rally, which means there are only questions to answer along the way. (If you just want to enjoy the drive, you do not have to answer the questions). The directions will be very clear as we do not want participants getting lost. The day will start at the museum with some car familiarization time. The rally will start at 9:00 a.m. and will head towards Lynchburg, TN; the home of the Jack Daniels Distillery.

We will arrive at the distillery around 1:00 where we will sit down for a delicious southern-style feast at the famous Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House restaurant.

Following lunch will be a guided walking tour of the Jack Daniels Distillery- the oldest registered distillery in the U.S. (which is interestingly located in a dry county!) The tour will cover the grounds of the distillery as well as a peek inside to watch the process of creating the many brands of Jack Daniels Whiskey that have made them an international brand.

Following the distillery tour we will make our way back to the museum where we'll enjoy a post-rally reception, private tour of the museum's basement collection and a trophy presentation!

Finally, for those who would like to continue the fun we have planned an optional group dinner at Ellendale's restaurant here in Nashville. This will be a separate registration item and all parties will pay for their meals separately at the restaurant.

About Rally for The Lane

Rally for The Lane is a fundraising benefit for Lane Motor Museum in Nashville, TN. Lane Motor Museum opened in October 2003 and, since then, has grown from a collection of 80 cars to nearly 330. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, the museum relies on the generosity of the private community to help offset the many costs of operating a 135,000 square foot facility, the maintenance of over 330 vehicles and several ongoing restoration projects! While running a car museum is fun, it doesn't come cheap. The electric bill alone totals more than $50,000 a year!

Your participation in the Rally will not only be a fun and exciting day for you but a great way to help support the mission of Lane Motor Museum: to collect, preserve and document automotive history for the enrichment of future generations.
